Location: Australia

I grew up in rural Australia, but have spent the last 6 years living in cities. I am now studying for a masters in Museum Studies. I will spend the next year in England and hopefully have time to travel throughout Europe as well.

Parcel of Australian goodies

Got the second part of my christmas hamper today. I'm in Australian food heaven. Piles of Cherry Ripes, Milo Bars, Macadamias, a huge batch of home made Anzac biscuits, some Fountain Spicy Red Sauce, a jar of Kangaroo Island creamed honey and best of all some more double coat tim tams. My room smells like Anzac biscuits, it is a wonderful smell.

I was so excited when i got the box. I think i just might have enough in there to last me the rest of the term - if not the year. I can now share some more of my favourite australian foods with my friends, in fact i think i will have to share if i am to continue fitting into my clothes.

I think my cravings for things Australian will be satisfied for a while. Now I just need it to warm up slightly and for the sun to show itself about once a week and I just might feel like I am back home for a little while. Think I am dreaming there, I really should stop looking at the temperature on the SMH website, i just get depressed. I was sure that i wouldn't miss summer too much, but i really miss being able to stroll around the gardens and the harbour in skirt, tank top and sandels. ah well, at least i have seen snow. I'm going to spend the rest of the day enjoying the smell of Anzac biscuits - thanks for them Mum.
